Amplitude statistics are helpful in the analysis of ultrasonic data collected for the inspection of concrete structures. By means of the invention of a threshold T where every amplitude exceeding the threshold is regarded as relevant we can define the probabilities of false alarm, correct detection and miss. One aim of our research work is to keep this probabilities constant.
