Concrete Integrity Assessment
In order to assure the quality of highly exploited, extreme tall, pre-fabricated piles the computational engineer requested the application of non-destructive testing to assure the integrity of the used high-strength fibre concrete. The concrete contained plastic and steel fibers as well. In addition the piles contained a huge amount of reinforcement. Hence there was a certain risk for the presence of honey combing and voids. Betontest examined these piles utilizing ultrasound reflection technique and proved the absence of non tolerable voids.
